FIUSMM is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mental health initiatives at the L’Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal. Our mission is to fund innovative programs, research, and awareness campaigns to improve the quality of life and long-term recovery of individuals affected by mental health challenges.
You can donate online through our DonorPerfect platform, or via telephone, fax, or mail by sending a check. We also accept monthly, planned, or in-memoriam donations.

We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards as well as checks.

Yes, any donation of $20 or more qualifies for a tax receipt. You will receive your receipt via email or mail within 5 to 10 business days after your donation is processed.
For event-related donations, tax receipts are usually sent several weeks after the event. If you haven’t received yours, feel free to contact our team!
Your donations fund essential initiatives that are not covered by public funding, such as:
Support programs for patients and families
Groundbreaking mental health research projects
Training for mental health professionals
Social and cultural activities to reduce isolation

Absolutely! You can dedicate your donation to a loved one by selecting the “In Memoriam” option during the donation process. Find out more about in memoriam donations.

These events raise awareness, mobilize communities, and fund critical projects.
The Foundation does not provide direct clinical services. Instead, we fund initiatives that support recovery, such as cooking workshops, social and cultural activities, and mental health research projects.
